Talking to us

When you come on board, you'll get a dedicated Slack channel. Quick questions, updates, feedback, asset sharing, and approvals all happen there.

Hannah sets the strategy and is your main point of contact. The wider team executes that strategy alongside her. Team members may come and go from your channel depending on what the work needs at any given time. When a specialist joins, we'll introduce them so you know who's who and what they're working on.

If you ever want to speak to Hannah privately, send her a direct message in Slack.

We aim to come back to you within one working day. If we need anything else from you, we'll let you k

A quick note on Slack notifications

Slack is flexible. If the channel starts to feel too busy or too quiet, tell us and we'll adjust the cadence together. You can also set your own notification preferences per channel so it fits around your day, rather than the other way round.

Time off

When anyone on the team is away, someone else will pick up in their place so your account is never left unattended. Campaigns, automations and tracking run around the clock in the background, so things keep working while we're offline. You'll get at least two weeks' notice of any planned leave, with cover arranged before we go.

You may get spam

When your ads go live, you may notice an increase in spam messages. It's normal, and it's worth knowing what to look for.

Common examples include:

  • Fake account suspension emails or DMs. Usually claiming to be from Meta, with a panicky tone and a link to "verify" your account.

  • Fake policy violation notices. Asking you to click through and appeal a supposed breach.

  • Spam comments on your ad posts. Telling you something is broken or offering random services.

  • Offers of guaranteed results or "fixing" your account. Strangers sliding into your DMs promising to solve problems you didn't know you had.

A few rules to live by

  1. Real Meta notifications appear inside Business Manager, not as DMs. Any message in Messenger or Instagram DMs from a profile claiming to be Meta should be treated as a scam.

  2. Don't click links in these emails or DMs. If something concerns you, log into business.facebook.com directly and check your notifications there.

  3. Never share passwords, 2FA codes or card details with anyone.

If you're ever unsure, forward the email to clients@fortyandco.com or drop a screenshot into Slack. We see these every day and can tell you quickly whether it's genuine.

Invoicing and payment

How fees work, when invoices land, and how to pay.

Fixed fees and retainers are invoiced in advance, before the month they cover. Percentage-based fees are invoiced around the 1st of each month, based on the previous month's revenue. Payment terms are 7 days from the invoice date.

Bank transfer is our preferred payment method. Details are on every invoice, and there's no processing fee. Card and third-party processors are also accepted, though a small processing fee will be added to your next invoice to cover the transaction cost.

The onboarding fee is payable upfront and is non-refundable. Work begins once it's cleared. That fee covers setup, planning and the time spent getting properly acquainted with your business.

On late payments: if cash flow is ever tight, please let us know early, and we'll work something out together.

Reporting

Keeping you up to date on what's happening and what's next.

All reports land in your Slack channel. No emails to dig through, no logins required.

Live access. You'll have direct access to your ad accounts throughout, so you can check in any time.

Happy to walk you through the data whenever you'd like.

Every Monday

Weekly report

Everything you need to see how things are going and what we're working on this week.

1st of the month

Monthly review

A full look at the month just gone, what's coming next, and any adjustments we're making.

What helps us work well together

A few simple things from your side make a real difference to the results we can deliver.

The following will help:

Stock updates

Let us know in advance when anything is running low, out of stock, or being restocked. That way we can plan campaigns around actual availability and make the most of what you have.

Launches, sales and price changes

Flag these early so we can build them into the schedule and promote them properly.

Keeping us up to date

The more you share with us about what's happening in the business, the better we can represent you and spot opportunities as they come up.

Website issues

If something breaks or isn't working as it should, tell us straight away. We have a web developer on the team who can step in to help fix things quickly.

Timeline

Week 1

Strategy and design

We build out your strategy, design the approach across each channel, and get everything aligned with your goals and brand.

Weeks 2 onwards

Delivery and optimisation

The team executes the plan. Campaigns go live, content ships, and we optimise as data comes in. You'll see weekly reports in Slack throughout.

Every month

Monthly review

We review the month together, share what's worked, what we're changing, and what's planned for the month ahead.

Support and next steps

We're here to support you whenever you need us.

Slack is always open. No question is too small, and if something's bothering you or not working, please tell us early rather than sitting on it.

Either of us can end things with 30 days' written notice. There's no minimum contract unless one has been specifically agreed.

Looking forward to getting started.
